Rebecca Shkeyrov (b. 1997) is a Korean-American painter based in Paris. She acts as a time-and-space traveler between the observed and imagined worlds through boldly colorful paintings. Recurring and recursive imagery of lovers, friends, ancestors, angels, houses, and herself trace an ongoing search for “home” as a feeling created within, rather than a fixed physical space.
She holds a BFA in Studio Art from William & Mary (2020). Her work has been shown in solo shows in Richmond and Williamsburg, Virginia, as well as many group shows: Manifest Gallery, Cincinnati; Art Center Sarasota; Artspace Richmond; Stryker Center, Williamsburg; and Bowery Gallery New York City. She is represented by the Linda Matney Gallery in Williamsburg, Virginia.
